The original all-mountain mountain bike helmet, the Recon Scout Helmet is a design that's been tried and tested on everything from smooth flow trails to the gnarliest of rock-strewn chutes. The extended drop to the rear and in-mould construction combine to deliver you excellent all-round head protection in the event of a crash. The outer is durable enough to take on the regular (ab)use of off-road trail riding and the EPS core absorbs impact forces when your head hits the ground.
Comfort is also excellent thanks to the Scout's low weight, coming in at a feathery 303 grams. The in-moulded design not only keeps weight low but also allows Sixsixone to create plenty of vents without compromising strength or safety. You might work up a sweat when mountain biking but those vents ensure cool air is always rushing over your head. Lastly, the Detox ratchet fit system lets you dial in the fit quickly and precisely - once you're happy with the fit, hop on the pedals and go kick up some dirt.
